Features and confidence…
At the moment. I. Am. Typing. This. Blog. Post with contact lenses instead of my normal glasses.
I believe life is good when you can get exciting about the little things. I am excited that I am wearing contact lenses and that I am finding them a hell of a lot more comfortable that I thought I would.
The whole contact lense thing has been a topic of thought for me for a while now. See last year this time, I was wearing my glasses for driving. For watching tv. For attending workshops with Powerpoint presentations. That was it. I did however need to have my eyes retested and after doing so, I found the result absolutely amazing. I could see, c-l-e-a-r-l-y.
Naturally for the past year I have been wearing my glasses 24/7, which as much as it was needed, was sad.
My eyes are one of my features. (So is my cleavage according to a couple of friends) My eyes, give me depth, they give life to the people around me! So hiding them behind glasses is a sin, especially if there are things like contact lenses.
Besides, at the moment I need a bit of a confidence booster!
What are your features? Does it give you a bit of a boost in confidence from time to time?

I am also legally blind so I alternate between wearing glasses and contact lenses (whatever my mood dictates). I enjoy my glasses and I get a different repsonse from clients when I wear them.
I think my features the people notice the most is my hair colour and my blue eyes. I don’t really have any other nice features. Being five foot nothing and chubby isn’t very appealing…
At least you know how tall you are.
(Weight isn’t features – stop beating yourself up. Next year’s resolution – you and me both!)
eeeuuuuwww. that picture gives me the heebie jeebies!!!
I’m never going to be able to get my contacts and I’ve reached my own deadline already :-(
I have been wearing glasses and contacts for 16 years now. I have a variety of different glasses and only wear contact a couple times a week.
I really cannot say what my ‘features’ are…
I also have contacts – changed my life when I got them :)
My favourite feature is my eyes! And according to my boyfriend my legs :)
Contacts are awesome, I would love to have that op and be able to wake up and see without having to fumble for my glasses. BUT i can’t get over the fear of something going wrong and the night blindness thing puts me off.
My best feature – at the moment I am loving my new boobs just because they are new.
I say we wait for the technology to improve – until it is a common procedure!
Like you- my eyes and my cleavage :D
